RESEARCH - Montage Editing

Montage editing is when an editor takes two pieces of film then combines them to emphasize their meaning. This is used in 'Un Chien Andalou' and 'Psycho', both these films create shock, and one is a great horror movie. Maybe if i'm to create shock, montage editibng will help make it better. An example is shown below from the movie 'Psycho', it uses montage editing to combine a shot of a shower drain, to a shot of an eye.
